MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063583 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 20, for 'a system and method for biomedical sensor data fusion and health status prediction system.'

Inventor(s) include Nishanth S; A. V. Pugazhendhi; Divya S; Sunitha Devi M; and Subbulakshmi V.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A System and Method for Biomedical Sensor Data Fusion and Health Status Prediction System The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for self-evolving biomedical sensor data fusion and context-aware health status prediction using adaptive digital bio-signature intelligence. The system gathers heterogeneous physiological and contextual data from a variety of biomedical sensing devices, such as electrocardiogram sensors, respiration sensors, motion sensors, stress sensors, hydration sensors, and environmental monitoring sensors. A context-aware signal harmonization engine aligns and normalizes biomedical signals compensating for motion artifacts, environmental disturbances and physiological inconsistencies. A sensor integrity validation module assesses the trustworthiness of biomedical streams dynamically and reconstructs incomplete physiological data. Moreover, a physiological drift compensation module continuously recalibrates predictive healthcare models based on long-term biological variations. The system also generates continuously evolving digital bio-signature profiles and predictive health trajectory simulation for predicting future physiological conditions and anomaly progression probabilities. Distributed edge-cloud cooperative inference, explainable predictive reasoning, adaptive risk prioritization, and federated healthcare optimization improve predictive accuracy, personalization, privacy preservation, and real-time healthcare responsiveness."
