MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115018 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'a system and method for biofertilizer application with tailored microbial consortia via multi-omics analysis in sustainable agriculture.'

Inventor(s) include Saurabh Gangola; Divya Gunsola; Rahul Kumar; Debasis Mitra; and Periyasamy Panneerselvam.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to sustainable agriculture and provides an integrated system comprising a microbial profiling unit (10) for collecting and processing samples, an advanced multi-omics analytical platform (20) for metagenomic, proteomic, and metabolomic analyses, and a computational analysis module (30) which integrates data to designate tailored microbial consortia including nitrogen-fixing bacteria, phosphate-solubilizing microbes, and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. In addition, a biofertilizer formulation unit (40) cultures and blends the selected strains under controlled conditions, while a field application and monitoring module (50) deploys the formulation and gathers field data, all coordinated via a central database (60) for optimized nutrient management and crop stress response."
