MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063549 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 20, for 'a system and method for automated medical image analysis and diagnosis using machine learning.'

Inventor(s) include Jayaranjeetham J; Nivya Mary A; Jaiganesh I; Ramnath V; and Chamundeeswari D.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for autonomous multi-modal medical image analysis, self-validating diagnosis generation and physiology correlated clinical decision intelligence using machine learning. The disclosed system includes a multi-modal imaging acquisition unit, an adaptive image harmonization module, a pathology feature extraction module, a bio-physiological consistency mapping module, a diagnostic self-validation engine, an explainable clinical reasoning graph module, a disease digital twin simulation module, a federated distributed learning module, and an uncertainty-aware clinical intelligence framework. The system learns heterogeneous medical imaging data and physiological intelligence from distributed healthcare infrastructures, and performs adaptive image normalization, pathology-aware feature extraction and physiology-correlated disease verification via machine learning models. The system also autonomously analyzes contradictions, quantifies uncertainties, simulates disease progression predictions, and generates explainable diagnostic reasoning to improve clinical reliability and reduce false diagnostic conditions. Federated distributed learning continuously improves diagnostic intelligence while protecting patient privacy, enabling scalable, predictive, explainable, and clinically validated autonomous healthcare decision support."
