MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641043118 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 4, for 'a system and method for automated medical data integration and diagnostic interpretation.'
Inventor(s) include Subha VJ; Sivayogana R; Ram Shankar; Karpagavalli; Durga B; Prasanna Kumar E; Jayabharathi B; Koushik Kumar N; Bennett Branson Benjamin; and Badri K.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A System and Method for Automated Medical Data Integration and Diagnostic Interpretation The present disclosure relates to a system and method for automating the integration of medical data and the interpretation of diagnostics through federated neuro-symbolic intelligence and bio-contextual digital twin modeling. The system uses a data fusion module to combine multi-modal medical data from electronic health records, imaging systems, laboratory databases, and wearable sensors into a single dataset. A bio-contextual digital twin module models a patient's physical condition in real time and simulates how the disease will progress. A federated learning framework allows for decentralized model training across multiple healthcare nodes while keeping data private. A neuro-symbolic diagnostic engine uses machine learning predictions and medical knowledge to make diagnostic outputs that can be explained. The system also has predictive risk stratification, personalized treatment recommendations, and blockchain-based audit mechanisms for safe and traceable data management. An edge processing unit also makes real-time analysis possible in environments with limited resources, which makes clinical decision support accurate, scalable, and privacy-protecting."
