MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611024090 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 28, for 'a system and method for automated blood transfusion compatibility verification with ai-based real-time monitoring and reaction prevention.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Rahul.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart auto-compatibility blood transfusion system designed to enhance transfusion safety and accuracy through intelligent automation and real-time monitoring. The system integrates automated donor-recipient compatibility verification with continuous acquisition of patient physiological parameters and transfusion-related data using embedded biosensors. An artificial-intelligence-based analysis unit processes real-time physiological trends in conjunction with compatibility verification results to predict transfusion-related adverse reactions at an early stage. Upon detection of abnormal or high-risk conditions, the system autonomously regulates transfusion delivery by slowing, pausing, or stopping infusion and generates context-specific alerts for clinical intervention. The invention operates as a closed-loop transfusion safety mechanism, reducing dependence on manual observation and minimizing human error."
