MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115867 A) filed by Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology, Patiala, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2025, for 'a system and method for ai-driven interview simulation using 3d avatars and multi-agent processes.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Anil Kumar Verma; Dr. Shruti Aggarwal; Mohammed Zubair; Parag Goyal; Raj Chaudhary; and Rachancheet Singh Kohli.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This disclosure relates to an AI-driven interview simulation system in the technical field of interactive candidate assessment. The invention integrates a frontend client for candidate data capture, a 3D avatar renderer for lifelike animation with synchronized lip movements and gestures, and a session manager and storage module for secure logging. Additionally, an audio analysis module transcribes and assesses speech parameters while a visual analysis module evaluates facial expressions, gaze direction, and body language. A resume and job description parser utilizes natural language processing to extract candidate information, which is further employed by a multi-agent orchestration engine managing specialized agents such as a panel head agent, technical interview agent, and HR interview agent. An integrated IDE module presents coding challenges, complemented by an anti-cheat module that monitors engagement, and a report generator aggregates the multi-modal analysis outputs for comprehensive performance evaluation."
