MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521059838 A) filed by Parul University (Parul Institute Of Engineering And Technology); Jiva Mohammad Ishrar Abdulgaffar (Parul Institute Of Engineering And Technology-Diploma Studies); and Dadi Mohsin Jamilahmed, Vadodara, Gujarat, on June 23, 2025, for 'a system and method for a hybrid compound parabolic evacuated tube solar collector with nanolfuid-enhanced thermal performance.'
Inventor(s) include Jiva Mohammad Ishrar Abdulgaffar; and Dadi Mohsin Jamilahmed.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hybrid solar collector system in the technical field of renewable energy comprises a main base frame (1) oriented at approximately 34 supporting an evacuated tube collector (4) equipped with multiple vacuum-insulated glass tubes sealed by sealing components (3) and aligned with a CPC reflector (2) engineered via non-imaging optics using selectable reflective materials. The system further includes an inlet manifold (6) and outlet manifold (5) for circulating a working fluid, which can be enhanced with nanofluid nanoparticles such as copper oxide or graphene via the nanofluid inlet connection (18). Temperature sensors (RTD PT100) (7, 8), a digital data logger (15) and flow measurement devices (13) monitor performance while a recirculating pump (11) and a 3-way valve (12) regulate fluid routing, thereby optimizing solar energy absorption and thermal transfer."
