MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122662 A) filed by Dr. M. G. R. Educational & Research Institute, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'a system and a method of ai-enabled solar aeration for intelligent rice drying.'
Inventor(s) include K. Sujatha; B. Swapna; A. Jegadeeswari; V. V. Kannan Suresh; and B. Bhavana Priya.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an AI-enabled solar aeration system for drying rice. The system includes a solar power module having a solar panel (102), an MPPT charge controller (104), a battery unit (106), and a voltage regulator (108) configured to provide regulated power to system electronics. A rice-drying chamber (110) with a perforated airflow floor (112) receives conditioned air from an aeration unit comprising a blower fan (114) coupled to an airflow path (116). Real-time drying-state data is generated by a sensor network including a temperature-humidity sensor (120), a grain-moisture sensor (122), and an airflow sensor (124). A microcontroller (118) and an AI drying-control module (126) jointly process the sensed data, predict moisture-reduction trajectories, and generate optimized aeration actions. A weather-forecast ingestion interface (128) supplies multi-horizon meteorological data that the AI module fuses with real-time conditions to dynamically regulate aeration, prevent re-wetting, reduce energy usage, and achieve unifossssrm target moisture level."
