MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421070659 A) filed by Institute Of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Sept. 18, 2024, for 'a sustainable energy control system for room lightning management.'
Inventor(s) include Vivek Kumar Prasad; Vipul Chudasama; Madhuri Bhavsar; Madhukant Patel; and Vijay Ukani.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention optimizes renewable energy use for efficient lighting by harvesting energy via wind turbines (1) and solar panel (2). A microcontroller (10) manages operations, integrating sensors like an LDR (11) and camera (16) for ambient light and occupancy detection. A relay switch (13) controls lighting, while WiFi enables cloud (14) connectivity for data storage and analysis. Machine learning modules are implemented in the microcontroller and include 1) an adaptive energy production module (M1) for weather prediction and surplus energy conversion; a power management module (M2) for determining power availability, and room occupancy; and a lighting adjustment module (M3) for adjusting artificial lighting based on ambient light. Cloud-based ML and DL algorithms enable real-time automation, remote access, and predictive optimization, enhancing energy efficiency and minimizing waste."
