MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025436 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on March 28, 2024, for 'a suspension system for a seat assembly.'

Inventor(s) include Majale, Umesh; Devdass, Saravanan; Pachaiyappan, Rengasamy; and A, Abdulrafi.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a suspension system (100) for a seat assembly of a vehicle. The suspension system (100) includes a bottom plate (104), a top plate (102) slidably coupled with the bottom plate (104), and a damper (108) disposed between the top plate (102) and the bottom plate (104). In addition, the suspension system (100) includes a shaft (142) coupled with the bottom plate (104), a pair of springs (150) disposed on two ends of the shaft (142), and a mandrel (214) securely coupled with the top plate (102) and slidably coupled on the shaft (142) and disposed between the springs (150). Upon a receipt of lateral forces on the seat assembly the top plate (102) slides on the bottom plate (104) and the damper (108) and the pair of springs (150) absorb the amplitude of vibrations between the top plate (102) and the bottom plate (104)."
