MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012892 A) filed by National Institute Of Pharmaceutical Education And Research, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'a supersaturable self-emulsifying drug delivery system of dasatinib.'
Inventor(s) include Sanyog Jain; Dharshini M; Shikha Jha; Sheetal Yadav; and Vivek Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a supersaturable self-emulsifying pharmaceutical composition comprising dasatinib, an oil phase, a surfactant, a co-surfactant, and a precipitation inhibitor. The pharmaceutical composition of dasatinib shows improved solubility, enhanced drug loading, enhanced permeation rate, prolonged supersaturation state of dasatinib in aqueous environment, and increased bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs along with stability."
