MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511122725 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, New Delhi, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'a sub-volt low dropout regulator with feedback resistors shared by an integrated single-bjt voltage reference.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to low dropout regulator (LDO) (100) for generating stable output voltage (102) for input voltage (104), includes regulating element (202) regulating input voltage (104) to generate output voltage (102), compensator (206) generating controlling signal (204) for regulating element (202) based on reference signal (208) and compensating signal (210), feedback network (212) generating reference signal (208) based on feedback signal (214) and compensating voltage (218) of compensating current (216), correction module (220) adjusting feedback signal (214) and compensating voltage (218), voltage reference module (224) providing reference voltage (226) to compensate for temperature variations based on compensating current (216) translated from correction module (220) by biasing module (228), scaling module (230) scaling amplitude of reference voltage (226) for generating compensating signal (210). The LDO (100) integrates voltage reference module (224) and uses shared feedback network (212) to achieve temperature-independent regulation for input voltage (104) providing stable output voltage (102)."
