MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006390 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a straddle-type vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A straddle-type vehicle (100) is disclosed. The straddle-type vehicle (100) comprises a body frame (102) comprising a pair of seat rail members (103), a power unit (128), and at least one rear ground engaging member (110) operatively coupled to the body frame (102). A seat (112) is mounted to the body frame (102). The vehicle further comprises a storage compartment (200) having a body (202) defining an opening (202a) and a storage space therein, and a cover member (204) operatively connected to the body (202). The cover member (204) comprises a first lid member (206) and a second lid member (208) collectively defining a sealing channel (210) configured to secure a sealing element (212) to inhibit entry of foreign particles to the storage compartment (200)."
