MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073484 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, New Delhi, on Sept. 28, 2024, for 'a stopper member for a compressed natural gas pipe fitting of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Garg, Philip; Pai, Devananda B.; Khandelwal, Abhishek; and Khan, Prasenjit.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a stopper member (120) for a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pipe fitting (102) in a vehicle. The stopper member (120) includes a base portion (122), and a plurality of clamping members (124a, 124b, 124c) vertically extending from the base portion (122). The each of the plurality of clamping members (124a, 124b, 124c) adapted to be engaged with at least one of a first member (112), a second member (110), and a connecting member (114) disposed between the first member (112) and the second member (110) of the CNG pipe fitting (102). The plurality of clamping members (124a, 124b, 124c) adapted to restrict the propagation of vibrations to a fastening member (140) of the connecting member (114) adapted to couple the second member (110) with the connecting member (114)."
