MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441006294 A) filed by Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a steering corner module for a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Thangam Sakthivel Thangavel; Veerasami Venkatachalam; Maheshkumar Thangavel; Ravichandran S Thangavel; and Ramkumar Tharmakani.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure proposes a steering corner module (10) for a vehicle. The steering corner module (10) comprises a knuckle (100), a motor unit (103), a gear unit (104) and at least a swivel. The knuckle (100) is mounted on a wheel hub (40) of the wheel and has a first arm (101) and at least a second arm (102) that holds a motor unit (103) and gear unit (104) respectively. It is further adapted to support a suspension system (20). The gear unit (104) comprises a first worm wheel (111) affixed to a motor shaft of the motor, a worm shaft (112) connecting the first worm wheel (111) to a second worm wheel (113), the second worm wheel (113) is pivoted on the second arm (102) of the knuckle (100). The swivel unit connects the second arm (102) to a lower arm (30) of the chassis."
