MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311052521 A) filed by Indigenous Energy Storage Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'a stable positive electrode composite material for sodium ion batteries and its preparation method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Nagesh Kumar; Dr. Asit Sahoo; Dr. Nishant Gautam; Mr. Akash Soni; and Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cathode material for sodium-ion batteries that exhibits significantly improved electrochemical performance and its method of synthesis. The cathode material incorporates specific metal dopants into the NVPF structure and provides an improved cathode material which reduces the internal resistance and enhances the overall electrochemical performance of the sodium-ion battery."
