MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052041 A) filed by Karun Pratap Hoon, Panchkula, Haryana, on April 23, for 'a spice infusion pouch for flavouring a cooking preparation.'
Inventor(s) include Karun Pratap Hoon.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a pouch (100) for spice infusion in flavouring culinary preparations. The pouch has a sealed pouch body (102) made of a porous multilayer sheet material with progressively decreasing average pore size from outer, middle to inner layers, a pre-measured dry spice mixture (106) of whole or coarsely ground Indian spices. The multilayer construction allows for diffusion of volatile and aqueous soluble flavor compounds when immersed in hot aqueous cooking broths while keeping particulate spice solids inside the pouch to allow for easy removal without particulate leakage."
