MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537102614 A) filed by Unilever Global Ip Limited, Wirral, U.K., on Oct. 24, for 'a solid disinfection composition.'
Inventor(s) include Appavoo, Shanthi; Halder, Anindita; Mahapatra, Samiran; and Trivedi, Vishal, Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a solid cleaning composition in tablet form that delivers antimicrobial efficacy against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. The composition is useful in disinfection of hard surfaces like those in toilets, kitchen sink, and dish wash machines; as well as in disinfecting fabrics. This is achieved at low concentration of cationic surfactant the efficacy of which is boosted with amino acid based surfactant in a tablet comprising an effervescent system."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/058761.
