Inventor(s) include G. Vinoth Kumar; Elambaruthi Kulanthaivelu; Raja Sundharamoorthi; and Gopi Krishnan.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an solenoid integrated permanent magnetic off-set gear reduction starter motor (PMOGR) (100). The PMOGR includes a drive module (10), comprising a stator (16). The stator includes a stator pole (26) with a plurality of permanent magnets (20). An armature shaft (14) concentrically disposed in the stator (16) and being configured to mesh with a pinion shaft (24). A rotor assembly (12) including a rotor core (22) with plurality of armature windings (9), and being mounted on one end of the armature shaft (14) and magnetically interacting with the stator (16) to rotate relative to the stator (16). An energizing module (50) configured to selectively energize the plurality of armature windings (9) of the rotor assembly (12) to rotate the rotor assembly (12) relative to the armature shaft (14), wherein rotation of the rotor assembly (12) rotates the pinion shaft (24) through the armature shaft (14)."
