MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641048396 A) filed by Sona College Of Technology, Salem, Tamil Nadu, on April 16, for 'a solar powered multi-functional agricultural machine.'
Inventor(s) include Ravikumar V.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a solar-powered three-in-one agricultural machine (100) configured to perform weeding, seed sowing, and fertilizing operations in an integrated manner. The machine comprises a structural frame (101), a solar panel (102), a rechargeable battery (103), a charge controller (104), a microcontroller unit (105), a Bluetooth module (106), a motor driver circuit (107), a relay module (108), a drive motor (109) coupled to a wheel assembly (110), a seed hopper (111) with a seed dispensing mechanism (112), a fertilizer hopper (113) with a fertilizer dispensing mechanism (114), and a weeding blade assembly (115). The solar panel (102) generates electrical energy stored in the battery (103) to power the system. The microcontroller unit (105) controls operational components based on wireless commands received via the Bluetooth module (106). The invention reduces labour, operational cost, and dependency on fossil fuels while improving efficiency and sustainability in agricultural operations."
