MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611005553 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Jan. 20, for 'a soil moisture responsive fertilizer dispensing system for precision agriculture.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a soil moisture responsive fertilizer dispensing system (100) for precision agriculture. The system includes soil moisture sensors (110), a control unit (120), a fertilizer reservoir (130), and a dispensing mechanism (140). Fertilizer is automatically released only when soil moisture levels fall within predefined optimal thresholds, ensuring efficient nutrient uptake. The invention reduces fertilizer wastage, minimizes environmental impact, and enhances crop productivity through real-time, condition-based nutrient management."
