MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641020802 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 23, for 'a smart portable modular bike mounted carrier for safe transport of pets, luggage and delivery goods.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "RIDEBOX is a smart, detachable, modular bike-mounted carrier designed to safely transport pets and cargo on twowheelers. The system incorporates a shock-absorbing suspension base, ventilated airflow tunnels, temperature-regulating flooring and an automatic safety locking mechanism to ensure occupant comfort and cargo security. It includes removable internal modules that allow conversion between pet-carrier mode and cargo-carrier mode. The device further integrates theft-prevention GPS tracking, power-assisted ventilation, crash-lock safety latches and weather-resistant sealing, making it suitable for personal, commercial delivery and pet transport applications."
