According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an assistive technology system designed to aid deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals. The system captures audio signals, visual gestures, and environmental sounds through a microphone and camera, processes them using artificial intelligence models, and displays real-time captions or alerts on the AR glasses. The invention further enables conversion of Indian Sign Language or custom user-defined gestures into synthesized speech output in multiple languages. Additionally, the system detects environmental sounds such as alarms, vehicle horns, doorbells, and emergency signals, and notifies the user through visual alerts. The invention provides an inclusive, portable, and multilingual communication solution without requiring invasive hardware or permanent installations."
