MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421007917 A) filed by Higgsfleet Innovations Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 6, 2024, for 'a sliding cutter food processor.'

Inventor(s) include Nandan Ravindra Gite.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention may relate to systems and methods for a sliding cutter food processor (10) in the technical field of kitchen appliances. The system may comprise a housing (100) with an inlet port (202) for receiving food items. A first rotor plate (102) and a second rotor plate (104), housed in the housing (100), may comprise a plurality of lobes. A channel (118) on the first rotor plate (102) may accommodate a first slider (119) with an inclined first set of blades (121), which may cut objects vertically. An elastic member (124) may retract the first slider (119). Upon rotation, a second lobe (102b) of the first rotor plate or a second lobe (104b) of the second rotor plate (104) enabled with depth blades (106a/106b) may slice objects layer-wise. A powering unit (202) is included for rotating said rotor plates (102, 104)."
