MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421011917 A) filed by Vora, Hiren; and Vora, Bhavna, Palghar, Maharashtra, on Feb. 20, 2024, for 'a shower cap.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to devices used for hair and scalp treatments a shower cap (100). The shower cap (100) is configured to protect a user's head from moisture in a first operative configuration. The cap (100) comprises an outer surface (105) and an inner surface (110). On the inner surface (110), at least one pocket (107A, 107B, 107C...107n) is provided. A pouch (115, 115A, 115B, 115C...115n) is configured to be detachably received within the pocket (107A, 107B, 107C...107n). The pouch (115, 115A, 115B, 115C...115n) contains a heating means designed to generate controlled dry heat for a predetermined time period. This feature enables the cap (100) to accelerate hair grooming treatment procedures in a second operative configuration. The combination of the pocket and detachable pouch provides a versatile solution for enhancing hair care treatments while maintaining the primary function of moisture protection."
