MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421013576 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Thane, Maharashtra, on Feb. 25, 2024, for 'a self-locking v-groove pillar for electric switches.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to an electric switch (100). The electric switch (100) comprises a housing (112) and a terminal pillar (108). The 5 housing (112) comprises a protrusion (113) at the bottom side. The protrusion (113) comprises a rectangular cavity (115). The rectangular cavity (115) comprises triangular grooves (302) on inner surface. The electric switch (100) further comprises a terminal pillar (108). The top side (202) comprises a groove (218). The groove is V shaped. The groove (218) is 10 configured to provide pivot point to a connecting pin (106). The right side (212) and left side (210) comprises a projection (214). The projection (214) is disposed at the top end. During assembly, the terminal pillar (108) is inserted in the rectangular cavity (115) and snap fitted with the housing (112) with the help of triangular grooves (302) and projection (214)."
