MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441021736 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 21, 2024, for 'a seat assembly for a vehicle and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates generally to a vehicle (100), a seat assembly (200) 5 and methods thereof. The seat assembly (200) comprises a seat member (201), and a backrest member (202). A front edge (201F) of the seat member (201) is pivotably attached to a vehicle platform (101) along a pivot axis (XX'). The pivot axis (XX') is extended in a lateral direction of the vehicle (100). The seat member (201) is configured for an angular movement along the pivot axis (XX') with respect to the 10 vehicle platform (101). A rear edge (201R) seat member (201) is configured to rotate around the pivot axis (XX') in a front and a rear direction of vehicle (100), upon the angular movement of the seat member (201). The backrest member (202) is attached to the rear edge (201R) of the seat member (201) at a predefined angle (Y)."
