MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511114340 A) filed by Daimler Truck Ag, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'a seat assembly for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Natesh Mogra; Madhurima Bhandari; and Sushanto Sarkar.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a seat assembly (100) for a vehicle, which includes a seat frame (102) mounted on a wall (104) of the vehicle body, and a mounting mechanism (112) configured to isolate the seat frame (102) from rolling and pitching movements of the vehicle body. The mounting mechanism (112) comprises a first isolation mechanism (202) configured to control rotation of the seat frame (102) about a longitudinal axis to isolate the seat frame (102) from rolling movements of the body, and a second isolation mechanism (204) configured to control rotation of the seat frame (102) about a transverse axis to isolate the seat frame (102) from pitching movements of the body. The first and second isolation mechanisms (202, 204) enable relative motion between the seat frame (102) and the body within a predetermined traverse length, and having radii of rotation determined by corresponding rolling and pitching radii."
