MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411074393 A) filed by Zf Cv Systems Europe Bv, Brussels, on Oct. 1, 2024, for 'a sealing assembly for a segmented drum brake.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sealing assembly for a segmented drum brake is disclosed. The sealing assembly includes a sealing ring removably connectable to a peripheral portion of a brake carrier. The sealing ring extends forwardly towards a brake drum of the segmented drum brake along a central axis of the brake drum and is being configured to be at least partially received in a groove defined in a side wall of the brake drum of the segmented drum brake. The sealing ring is structured to form a sealing between the brake carrier and the brake drum to retain particulate matter generated by the segmented drum brake, within the brake drum."
