MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007666 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'a safety system for a vehicle and a method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A safety system (200) for a vehicle (100) comprises a control unit (202), the control unit (202) being communicatively connected to plurality of vehicle (100) components including one or more sensing unit. The one or more sensing unit is 5 capable of sensing at least one of a movement of the vehicle (100) and vibration of at least a part of the vehicle (100) along one or more axis of the vehicle (100) and generate first inputs for the control unit (202). The control unit (202) is configured to send an indication to a user upon satisfaction of a set of pre-defined vehicle conditions based on the inputs from the one or more sensing unit. The 10 present invention advantageously provides a safety system (200) for a vehicle (100) which aims to prevent unauthorised tampering, and access to the vehicle (100) of the user."
