MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621040565 A) filed by Hapihygi Innovations Private Limited, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on March 31, for 'a retrofittable self-cleaning sanitary seat device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a retrofittable self-cleaning sanitary seat device (102), comprising an annular sanitary seat (104) configured over a base member (106). The said device (102) may comprise a rotating mechanism (108) configured to rotate the annular sanitary seat (104), and a cleaning mechanism (110) pivotally configured within a proximity of the annular sanitary seat (104), to clean the top surface of the rotating annular sanitary seat (104). A first electronic actuator (204) may be connected to the rotating mechanism (108), and a second electronic actuator (206) may be connected to the cleaning mechanism (110). The said device may further comprise a control system (112) configured to actuate the first electronic actuator (204) and the second electronic actuator (206), to simultaneously control the rotation and the cleaning of the annular sanitary seat (104)."
