MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070479 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 18, 2024, for 'a refrigeration system for reducing energy consumption of an appliance.'

Inventor(s) include Pandey Badrish.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A refrigeration system (100) for reducing energy consumption of an appliance is provided. The refrigeration system (100) includes a compressor (102) to compress and circulate a refrigerant, a refrigeration circuit (104) coupled with the compressor (102) to generate cold air for an appliance, and a bypass circuit (106) coupled with compressor (102) to bypass the volume of refrigerant flowing through the refrigeration circuit (104) for reducing the overall workload of the compressor (102). The refrigeration circuit (104) includes a condenser (108) to condense and cool down the hot refrigerant coming from the compressor (102), an expansion device (110) to facilitate the expansion of the liquid refrigerant by reducing its pressure, and an evaporator (112) to facilitate the refrigerant's transition from liquid to vapor state by reducing its temperature to cool down the refrigerant."
