MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134646 A) filed by Pimpri Chinchwad College Of Engineering; Mr. Adwait Kokate; Dr. Mohit Prasad; Dr. Neha Sharma; Mr. Aditya Jagushte; Mr. Yashaswi Bharadwaj; Mr. Aditya Kadam; and Mr. Arya Mandlik, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'a real-time vehicle telematics system, apparatus and method for event-based fuel cost and emission analytics.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Adwait Kokate; Dr. Mohit Prasad; Dr. Neha Sharma; Mr. Aditya Jagushte; Mr. Yashaswi Bharadwaj; Mr. Aditya Kadam; and Mr. Arya Mandlik.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a real-time vehicle operation analysis system (100) for converting raw vehicle telemetry into live, behaviour-specific monetary and environmental-feedback during vehicle operation, along with a computer-implemented method (200) and a real-time analysis apparatus (300). The system comprises an on-board diagnostic (OBD-II) interface module (102), a wireless interface (104) and an electronic control unit (ECU) (106) for real-time vehicle operating parameters. A mobile computing device (108) includes a data fusion engine (108A) that synchronizes vehicle parameters with location data from a GNSS module (108A-1) and inertial data from motion sensors (108A-2). An adaptive fuel estimation engine (108B) dynamically selects among hierarchical estimation modes (108B-1, 108B-2, 108B-3) for fuel consumption estimation, transformed by a cost and emission computation module (110) into monetary cost and carbon dioxide emissions. An event detection engine (112) and event attribution module (114) quantify event-specific impacts, in real time via a user interface module (116)."
