MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541084655 A) filed by Maiva Pharma Private Limited, Hosur, Tamil Nadu, on Sept. 5, 2025, for 'a ready-to-use, stable formulation of lacosamide injection and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a ready-to-use room temperature stable, isotonic, Lacosamide injection suitable for intravenous infusion administration without the need for any further dilution prior to administration, comprising a lacosamide concentration between 0.5 mg/mL to 5 mg/mL, a buffering agent to maintain the pH between 3.5 to 5 is provided. The proposed formulation of the present disclosure is stabilized through inclusion of a buffer, preferably a citrate buffer and the claimed formulation is suitable for terminal sterilization by autoclaving process."
