MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441078150 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'a pump assembly for circulating a liquid in an internal combustion engine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a pump assembly (100) for circulating a liquid in an internal combustion engine. The pump assembly (100) comprises a pump (101), a pump cover (108), at least one of a plurality of passages and channels and a pressure relief mechanism. The pump is configured with a crankcase member (200). The pump cover (108) is adapted to cover the pump and a pump zone (202) of the crankcase member (200). The plurality of passages and channels are fluidically connected to the pump zone for circulating the liquid in the internal combustion engine. The pressure relief mechanism (112) is configured with the with the pump cover (108)."
