MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441015542 A) filed by Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education & Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 2, 2024, for 'a process of preparation of calendula reinforced naproxen emulgels and product thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process of preparation of anti-inflammatory effect exhibiting Calendula reinforced Naproxen Emulgel for treatment of arthritis-related symptoms such as inflammation, edema, stiffness, and joint pain. The process of the present invention comprises of a. preparing emulsion of Naproxen and Calendula; b. preparing a gel base; c. preparing Calendula reinforced Naproxen Emulgel. The present invention also discloses an anti-inflammatory effect exhibiting Calendula reinforced Naproxen Emulgel for treatment of arthritis-related symptoms such as inflammation, edema, stiffness, and joint pain prepared by the process as described above."
