MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441039229 A) filed by Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education And Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 20, 2024, for 'a process of preparation of antidiabetic activity exhibiting polyherbal formulation and product thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Raman Lakshmisundaram; Dr. Gayatri Sukumaran; Dr. Sujatha Kuppusamy; Miss. Narmadha Chinnadurai Rajeswari; Mr. Navaneedha Krishnan Manigandan; Nidhya Govindarajan; and Dr. Gayathri Veeraragavan.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process of preparation of an anti-diabetic activity exhibiting Polyherbal Formulation. The process of the present invention comprises of following steps; a. coarsely powdering root of Asparagus Racemosus, root of Cyperus Rotundus, seed of Tinospora Cordifolia, bark of Terminalia Arjuna and leaf of Mimosa Pudica to form a herbal mixture; b. extracting the herbal mixture by maceration with hydroalcohol followed by evaporation of the hydroalcohol to form the Polyherbal Formulation. The present invention also discloses an anti-diabetic activity exhibiting Polyherbal Formulation prepared by the process as described above."
