MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102568 A) filed by Dr. Satya Prakash Verma; and Ms. Bhawna Gora, Kota, Rajasthan, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'a process of extraction for livestock waste.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a process of extraction of livestock waste wherein the extracted process converts livestock waste into a value-added product. The extraction process of the present invention comprises the steps of: i) pretreatment of the livestock waste with sodium citrate and amylase; ii) Organosolv fractionization; iii) Humic Acid recovery; iv) Carbon Nanoparticle synthesis; and v) Nanocellulose production. The present extraction method co-produces humic acid, carbon nanoparticles, and nanocellulose, which are high-value products suitable for different uses recovered from waste, thereby enabling the sustainable development of a green economy."
