MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517093292 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Placo, Courbevoie, France, on Sept. 29, for 'a process for the manufacture of a plasterboard.'
Inventor(s) include Decabooter, Celia; Jaffel, Hamouda; and Mazouzi, Riles.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process for the manufacture of a plasterboard, the process comprising: forming a calcium sulphate slurry by mixing water, calcium sulphate material, an aqueous foam comprising an aqueous surfactant composition comprising an alkyl sulphate, a coalescing agent, and a hydrophobic material; depositing the slurry to form a board precursor; and drying the board precursor to form a plasterboard. In this way, the coalescing agent can mitigate the effects of the hydrophobic material to produce a plasterboard with an improved foam efficiency."
