MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511071933 A) filed by Shiv Nadar (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University), Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, on July 29, 2025, for 'a process for synthesis of 1,3- or 1,3,5-substituted aryl ketone using benzamide as organocatalyst.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process for the synthesis of 1,3- or 1,3,5- substituted aryl ketones using benzamides as an organocatalyst that involves cyclotrimerization of ynone under mild reaction conditions, leading to the synthesis of the 1,3- and 1,3,5-substituted aryl ketones with high yield."
