MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631009192 A) filed by Dr. Nibedita Das; Dr. Bedabati Chowdhury; Dr. Debashree Kakati; Dr. Kishor Deka; and Ms. Bishali Gogoi, Baridua, Meghalaya, on Jan. 29, for 'a process for preparing a herbal formulation with immunoboosting and antidiabetic properties.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Nibedita Das; Dr. Bedabati Chowdhury; Dr. Debashree Kakati; Dr. Kishor Deka; and Ms. Bishali Gogoi.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process for preparing a herbal formulation with immunoboosting and antidiabetic properties. The process includes collecting fresh, green, and undamaged medicinal plant materials from a plurality of plant species; cleaning the collected plant materials under running tap water, and drying to obtain dehydrated plant materials; grinding the dehydrated plant materials into fine powders and sieving the powder materials to obtain a uniform particle size; mixing the sieved powders in predetermined proportions to obtain a homogeneous herbal powder mixture; extracting the herbal powder mixture with methanol and water to obtain a methanolic extract and an aqueous extract; concentrating and drying both the methanolic extract and aqueous extract to obtain stable dried extracts; and formulating the dried extracts as a storage-stable herbal formulation capable of exhibiting antioxidant, immunoboosting, and antidiabetic activity."
