MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411016694 A) filed by Srf Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, on March 8, 2024, for 'a process for preparation of substituted salicylic acids.'
Inventor(s) include Mutreja Indu; Saini Ankit; Singh Ram; Tiwari Anand Prakash; Gupta Hanuman; and Jain Anurag.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a process for preparation of substituted salicylic acid. The chemistry of halogen-containing organic compounds has frequently been studied with a view to preparing substances of possible medicinal interest. Particularly halogenated salicylic acid is very useful and important intermediate in pharmaceutical industry."
