The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a biofabrication process for developing functional artificial skin grafts (100) through multi-layer bioprinting of epidermal (101), dermal (102), and vascular (103) layers. The process employs composite bioinks (107) comprising collagen, gelatin, and PCL, integrated with microchannels (104) and growth factors (105) to promote angiogenesis. The resulting grafts demonstrate high cell viability, mechanical stability, and enhanced tissue regeneration, replicating the architecture and function of native human skin."
