According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable lift machine for elevating passengers to upper berths in trains is disclosed. The portable lift machine (100) includes a rectangular base frame mounted on a plurality of wheels (120) for mobility, a scissor lift structure (130) with a plurality of interconnected folding arms (140) attached to the rectangular base. A hydraulic cylinder (150) is coupled to the scissor lift structure, using pressurized fluid to raise or lower the arms, thus controlling the vertical motion of a rectangular platform (160 (a)). The platform is designed to hold a passenger and move vertically to position the passenger at the upper berth and retracts to fit inside the base when lowered. The machine features a foot-operated pump assembly (170) for hydraulic activation and a foldable handle for easy manual manoeuvring and transport. This portable lift machine provides stable, efficient, and convenient passenger elevation, offering a practical solution for train travel accessibility."
