The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a portable device(100) for milk quality testing. The present invention includes a chamber(102), a pH sensor(104), a temperature sensor(106), a turbidity sensor(108), an edge computing unit(110), a wireless communication module(116), a cloud server computer(118) and a user device(124). The edge processing unit(114) pre-processes the received data from the pH sensor(104), the temperature sensor(106) and the turbidity sensor(108) in a real-time. The cloud server processor(122) is configured to pre-process the data received from the edge computing unit(110) using trained machine learning model to predict milk quality, and transmit the processed results in real-time display of milk quality test results. The user device(124) displays milk quality result to user in a real-time. The device(100) is configured for use at homes, milk collection centres, cooperatives, and rural dairy farms, enabling early detection of milk adulteration and microbial contamination, thereby enhancing food safety, regulatory compliance, and consumer health protection."
