MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511101985 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Oct. 23, 2025, for 'a portable biosensor device for detection of waterborne pathogens.'

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a portable biosensor device (100) for rapid detection of waterborne pathogens. It comprises a microfluidic cartridge (101), biorecognition module (102), and electrochemical detection unit (103) connected to a digital interface (104). The device enables sensitive, real-time, and on-site pathogen detection using nanomaterial-modified electrodes and wireless data output, making it ideal for environmental and field diagnostics."
