MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521131050 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 23, 2025, for 'a portable asha smartcare kit system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Mangesh Jabade; Dr. Jasneet Kaur; and Dr. Sonopant G. Joshi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a portable ASHA SmartCare Kit system (100) for supporting field healthcare delivery by ASHA workers. The system comprises a top section (101) including a padded tablet holder, an integrated solar panel, USB charging ports, and a voice-assistant activation button; a middle section (102) having modular adjustable compartments for medical tools, a thermally insulated pouch, and supply pockets; and a bottom section (103) including a sanitizer dispenser, a glove compartment, a mask holder, and a UV-C sterilizer. The system further includes external features (104) such as reflective strips, an emergency beacon, adjustable shoulder straps, and a quick-access pocket. A microcontroller-based control unit is electrically coupled to the solar panel, charging ports, UV-C sterilizer, emergency beacon, and voice-assistant button to manage power distribution, control sterilization cycles, generate emergency alerts, and transmit activation signals to a paired computing device, thereby enhancing hygiene, safety, and digital assistance during community healthcare operations."
