MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421079462 A) filed by Ahou Ventures Llp, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct. 18, 2024, for 'a portable and expandable modular pod.'
Inventor(s) include Hrishikesh Kulkarni; and Bhairumal Sutar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is a portable and expandable modular pod (100) that includes a metal frame (132), panels and a channel mechanism. Each of the panels (104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124) including layers and strata of acoustic panels and covers sheet that dampen noise. The front panel (112) and the first side panel (120) being transparent panels and the front panel including a control panel (340) connected to a controller. Further, the pod (100) includes a ventilation apparatus (136) and a sound system that are controllable by the user from inside or outside the pod (100). The pod (100) also includes a control unit and sensors that sense parameters such as temperature, air quality, lights and the like. The pod (100) is expandable through the channel mechanism which increases the interior space of the unit 100 according the requirements of the user."
