MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006988 A) filed by Dcm Shriram Limited, New Delhi, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'a polyvinyl chloride composition.'
Inventor(s) include Amit Gupta; Dhananjay Kumar Dubey; Sandipan Mohan Mandre; and Debabrata Rautaray.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composition comprising a polyvinyl chloride resin in a range of 40 wt % to 70 wt %; a plasticizer in a range of 10wt% to 40wt%; a stabilizer in a range of 0.01wt% to 0.5wt%; and a filler in a range of 15wt% to 50wt%. The comprises 20wt% to 100wt% brine sludge powder based on the total weight of the filler. The brine sludge powder has 2wt% to 5wt% moisture and a particle size distribution of D90 in a range of 50 to 500 m. The disclosure also provides a filler for a PVC composition and a method of preparing said filler."
