MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511101984 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Oct. 23, 2025, for 'a point-of-care diagnostic device for malaria detection in blood.'

Inventor(s) include Pallavi Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a portable point-of-care diagnostic device (100) for rapid malaria detection in blood. The device integrates a disposable microfluidic cartridge (102), biosensor module (104), power and control unit (106), and digital display (108). Blood plasma separated through microchannels (102b) interacts with the biosensor (104) for detection of Plasmodium biomarkers via electrochemical analysis. The processed signal is displayed digitally within 10 minutes, enabling accurate, field-ready malaria diagnosis without laboratory infrastructure."
